The title of our blog today are the three pillars of our Responsible Business ethos here at Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh and at all Radisson Blu Hotels around the world. They really are a part of all that we do as we go about our business day to day. You may have seen our Sales Managers on bikes in the lobby or our Reception team ready for a marathon if you’ve ever visited the hotel, or maybe you’ve seen our Maintenance and Engineering team out delivering toiletries to those in need – or seen the images on our facebook and twitter pages of these great fundraising activities?
In 2013 our hotels across the globe took part in our 10th annual Responsible Business Month – across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as a group, we organised almost 700 activities and raised 107,000 EUR for Carlson Rezidor’s charity partner World Childhood Foundation. Childhood is an organization under the patronage of Queen Silvia of Sweden and focused on aiding children at risk for abuse and exploitation. Another 133,000 EUR were collected for a series of local charities in more than 260 communities in 70 countries.
As we get ready for Responsible Business Action Month 2014, we’ve been inspired in recent weeks by a wave of global giving. We’re sure you’ll agree that whatever charity such a level of social media activity benefits, it’s great to see the power of social media put to such good use!
Here are our team getting involved!

Here are some donation links and info on the hugely worthwhile charities benefiting from the #IceBucketChallenge. Hopefully we can all help, in some small way. So, whether you donate wet or dry, don’t forget to donate folks!
